The Not-so-fine Print

At Wordie, we generally abide by conventional grammar and spelling guidelines. The editor checks for consistency in style, tone, and flow, correcting and improving writing that's simply lackluster.

Special requests outside of the outlined categories within Wordie’s capabilities, such as translation work, are to be considered upon request. Wordie practices strict adherence to Associated Press style in all of its writings unless the nature or context of the piece requires a distinct approach (e.g. MLA style for a college English paper), or unless a particular style is requested by the client. Creative and fiction writing will naturally be subjective in nature. Uncommon terms and phrases, as well as those of foreign origin, are also subjectively determined based on most common usage in reputable sources and/or etymological correctness, as preferred by the editor.

While we uphold the highest standards of quality and precision, Wordie does not guarantee the effectiveness or correctness of legal or business documents, which may contain nuances beyond the scope and abilities of a general editing service. In addition, we do not guarantee increase in grade or school performance within explicit or non-explicit terms. Wordie exempts itself from responsibility for any legal or other repercussions or damages incurred as a result of documents produced and/or amended by the service.
